Hey guys its been a few weeks since I have written a new post and I am soooo sorry, I hate not have time to blog as much as I would like to. My life hasn’t been incredibly busy I have just have had a lot of strange random things happen to me all in a short amount of time. Basically life threw me bananas instead of lemons, and threw them hard. No offense to bananas, however they seem like a painful and weird fruit to have thrown at you ha. Anyway October is over, and I’m so sad but so relieved since my October was insane. Halloween was hectic, and I’m very ready to visit home for thanksgiving. My broke college student is at an all time high, and I’m getting a bit sick of salad, cereal, and ramen. However I do have some really cool projects that I hope to have completed sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas while I’m at home and away from the crazy college life. By the way, I’m listening to Lady Gaga’s new song “dope” its so intresting and beautiful, definately doing a review on her new album. Well now I’m off to do homework and enjoy a bowl of late night cereal. Peace & love!
Yesterday I tried so hard to write a post, however nothing was really grabbing my attention or inspiring me. I tend to get writers block more often then I want, and as a blogger and journalism major its quite frustrating. I’m not sure how some bloggers are able to blog every single day cause I just can’t. I have major respect for those bloggers who are constantly adding new and incising content. Today however I’m struggling a bit less with my writers block because these same bloggers who do it everyday are my inspiration. I hope to one day achieve the success and knowledge of these amazing blogging ladies, who I have been reading for either years, months, or just for a few days. All them and their blogs are incredible, and what inspire me to keep working towards my goal for this site.
Tarmar has been my blogger obsession for the past year, I found her channel on youtube which lead me to her beautiful blog. Her style is a great combination of modern and classic wear, and she knows how to find great pieces for great prices.
Rumi Neely is basically the queen of blogger babes, I have been following her blog since I was 14 and she one of the main reasons I was inspired to even start blogging. Her and her blog have the muse or influence of so many designers across the world.
Sea of shoes is another blog I have been reading since I was about 14, I clearly remember she was featured in a 17 Magazine article and I was just draw in by the name of the blog itself, but when I actually started reading it the creator, Jane caught my attention even more. Not only does she have a love for fun and exciting shoes, but she also is a big fan of anime and traveling
I actually just discovered this blog last week and I already love it. Creator, Yara Michels works for Elle and is a full time blogger which means she has my dream job pretty much. But her blog title does get straight to the point she does have a really great style, classic but fun. She pairs stilettos with boyfriend jeans and ruffed up converse with channel, shes definitely my type of gal.

So for those are new here, I started this blog when I was 14 years old (originally titled Fourteen Magazine, oh so creative eh?) , which was strictly dedicated to writing about music. I would interview bands via Myspace and then post it. However times have changed, and I dont have a myspace nor the time to interview bands so I thought I would transition into doing some music related post by doing “Artist Analysis”. My first artist analysis is going to be Earl Sweatshirt, one of the many member of the Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All crew. I’ve reviewed the crew’s music, and I’ve reviewed the Tyler the creators musics now its time for Earl, and I think I may be actually liking him a little bit more than Tyler. I’ve been listening to his album Doris in my car constantly, and I like his rap style is alot more smooth and chill, than loud and in your face than most Odd Future music. However he still has the vulgar and L.A. attitude in his music that I like so much. The beats are sick on his tracks, like with every odd future produced album. You can definitely tell how much thought, time, and energy went into writing his lyrics, and producing the beats. I appreciate and artist who really cares about what they’re putting out there, and not just throwing some garbage to their fans and listener just to earn another big paycheck. Thanks not what good rap music is about, and Earl Sweatshirt makes that clear as the artist that he is. My favorite songs on the Doris album are Sunday, High, Chum, and Whoa.
I have been a fan of Nasty Gal for a good while, constantly stalking and posting on Pintrest their pieces that I love but can’t buy until after I pay rent. But I have ordered shoes from them before and they do have great customer service. Anyway while recently viewing the sites new arrivals, I noticed Nastygal had recently released their fall 2013 collection. The minute I opened the tab to this collection I was amazed, really like nothing I’ve seen before, especially not from an online based brand. 5 words to describe the collection: SLEEK, TEXTURED , EASY, TAILORED & OIL SLICK (I’m deciding that one word at the moment). If I could I would buy this whole collection. All the pieces in this collection can easily mix, matched, and paired together and look like no thought was put into at all ,in a good way of course. Major applause to Nastygal and their design team for producing such a unique fun and refreshing fall collection.
So since I’m starting fresh with FNL I though I would talk a little bit about me. My blog is not about me at all I have never wanted it to be which is why I’m not one of those blog with tons of outfit selfies, however I figured you guys should know the man (woman) behind the machine (hp laptop). So first I’m 19 years old. I’ve been 19 since June, it’s not a fun age very unkind & unnecessary. I have 8 sibling, 3 dogs, 5 best friends, and about 2,000,000 pairs of shoes. I believe in gay marriage, and that weed should be legal, yeah I’m one of those spread love not hate kind of people,. Currently a journalism major but that may change you never know with me. My whole life I’ve been creative, I used to want to be a painter, then a fashion designer, then when I got to high school I how much I liked writing & how much moved I was by good writing. Favorite writers right now are Chuck Palinuik, & Jeanette Walls. Because of these great writers I am now I’m pursing a degree in journalism with a minor in communications, so I can go write books & travel the world with my Canon xs camera in hand. Hmmm, what else…I cant think of anything at the moment but anyone has any question feel free to ask, being on the internet and all I’m an open book.
I don’t know if it’s just because Halloween is approaching , or what but I have been so obsessed with scary Tim Burton-esque style shoes lately. I’m a fan of weird looking shoes anytime of the year, however Jeffrey Campbell has re-awoken my love. I don’t care if chunky platform shoes are out of style J.C. always has new and fun designs to make every shoe lover remember why they have a loyal love for shoes.
Hello! First off I would like to say I’m so so so sorry for taking these long leaves of absence from blogging. As most of you know I am in my second year of college, I also have started working as well. My life has never been so busy nor so confusing. 19 is such a unnecessary and unkind age to be. I’ve just been going through so much and have been in this weird place. I feel so stuck and not sure what to do next, or really what I’m doing now. From recent blog post, and youtube videos related to fashion week I’ve realized many of these girl who are at fashion week are not in the fashion industry they’re bloggers like me. I’m not sure of where I’m going with my life right now but I’ve always been sure I have wanted to one of those girls at fashion week sitting front row, living her dream because she put her individual perspective out there and people liked it. So thats the new goal, make this blog as successful as I’ve always wanted to be. Over the past 2 years I have been pleasantly surprised by the postive feedback and amount of readers I have had here, and I thank all my readers soooo much. Stick with me, and watch fuzzyneonllama.com grow even more.
Sorry for the lack of post lately, but I thought I would come back with my favorite thing to talk about, fashion! Wearing skater dresses and tweed blazers to work is a thing of the past. Women have been dominating the job industry more and more over the years, and lately these dominating women have been dominating the fashion scene as well. It doesn’t hurt to look like the head bitch in charge if you are on. Werrrrrk it ladies!
